The Right Path Riding Academy relies on our volunteers to help create a safe and effective environment for our riders and horses. Adults and teens who are interested in assisting children with special needs are invited to participate in our therapeutic horsemanship programs. The minimum age requirement to volunteer as a side walker is 14 years of age, while game runners and shadow walkers are assessed by ability.

Arena volunteers assist as side walkers or leaders in therapy sessions and must be at least 14 years old and attend mandatory training before the semester starts. All volunteers are encouraged to attend a refresher training yearly. No prior horse experience is necessary for side walkers, as job duties are fully covered during training. Leaders must have prior experience and attend special trainings.

We are also in need of skilled volunteers to assist with facility and stable improvements, barn chores, administrative office work, and special events and fundraisers. For more information on volunteering with The Right Path, please contact our Office Manager, Sarah at (918) 352-4110 or use the “Contact Us” form.

NEXT VOLUNTEER TRAINING IS SATURDAY, September 8, 2018.
